Replacing Missing Teeth

Removable Bridges

Removable dental bridges are detachable, and unlike fixed bridges, they don’t require abutment teeth for an anchor as they can be attached to the teeth using clasps or precision attachments. Because they are removable, you can also take them out at home comfortably after an adjustment period for proper cleaning

These types of dental bridges are usually used when one or more teeth are missing or when a tooth is extracted due to damage. The dental bridge replaces a gap between two teeth so that the tooth gap is closed.

A removable dental bridge is the most preferred solution for patients where the number of missing teeth in a span is much or in situations where the jawbone and/or abutting teeth can’t support to support a fixed bridge or dental implant. So also, if you don’t wish to undergo implant surgery, removable dental bridges, is your best bet.

As your dentist, we’ll confirm that your bridge fits correctly and is adjusted to your bite so that you can get accustomed to it in good time.

A removable dental bridge restores missing teeth and allows patients to eat, talk, and smile normally again. With proper care, your removable bridge will be in good condition for years.

Implants

Are you concerned about the gap created by your missing tooth or teeth? With Implants, we would restore your teeth as close as possible to their natural state.

Implants can effectively replace your missing tooth. Consisting of artificial tooth roots, made of body-compatible metal titanium, they are anchored to the jawbone to replace missing teeth. After healing, implants are as firm and can perform any function like a natural tooth would.

They can replace a single tooth or an entire mouth of the teeth, and they can also provide support for a partial denture.

We carefully use anchors to secure your dental implants in place which are eventually integrated into the jawbone, making dental implants more stable than most other restorative dentistry techniques. And the stability and durability of the implants help prevent bone loss and gum recession. Because implants fastened securely, you gain confidence in eating what you want, speak clearly and free from embarrassment.

Implants have been used for decades and are now a proven solution for individuals with a missing tooth or teeth. Please note that dental implants require the same careful care as natural teeth, including brushing, flossing, and regular exams. With us by your side and proper care, they can last a lifetime.

Fixed Bridges

A fixed dental bridge can be used to close the gap created by one or more teeth.

A fixed dental bridge is a fixed, non-removable denture that is permanently incorporated into the denture.

With it, rows of teeth – up to four missing teeth can be “replaced”. With fixed bridges, we ensure that permanent malocclusions and jaw malpositions that could occur when a tooth or more is missing are prevented.

We also provide bridges with multiple limbs, which allows for the closure of gaps created in between one or more intact teeth.

When attaching fixed bridges, they are set to an adjacent existing tooth known as the abutment teeth. This is done by either attaching crowns to the abutment teeth or just bonding directly to the abutment teeth. Be assured we will discuss your needs and ultimately work out the best option suitable for you. Before fitting the dental bridge, your dentist may need to repair any damage to the existing teeth, gums and roots, as only intact teeth of the teeth can give the dental bridge a secure hold.

With proper dental care and bridge care and the avoidance of excessive stress such as teeth grinding, your dental bridge can remain stable for many years.

Fixed bridges cannot be removed, and their advantages include comfort, secure fit and easier handling. They are also cosmetically compatible with the rest of the teeth and enable optimal chewing and speech, which has a positive effect on your confidence, dental health and wellbeing.
